Greece has a Mediterranean climate with plenty of sunshine, mild temperatures and a limited amount of rainfall. Thessaloniki’s weather is mostly mild. July is considered to be one of the hottest months with an average temperature of 25°C (77°F) and the most daily sunshine hours at 12. It is also the best month to swim in the sea. We recommend that you bring light clothes, hat, sunglasses and a sunscreen lotion. You can also bring your swimsuit, in case you find the opportunity to visit Halkidiki (40km away) which is considered to have many of the most beautiful beaches in Greece or one of the numerous roof – pools located in Thessaloniki.
