October 2017 data, indicate that 8% of the Greek population lives in very bad (poor) financial conditions. The percentage is the same compared to the previous month (September 2017 – 8%) and presents a small decrease of 2,5 percentage points compared to one year before (October 2016 – 10.5%).
A share of 46.5% consider themselves as living in bad conditions. This percentage shows an increase of 2.5% compared to September 2017 (44%), while it presents an increase of 1,5% compared to one year before (October 2016 – 49.5%).
4 out of 10 assess their financial condition as not good. This shows an increase of 2 percentage points compared to one year before (October 2016 – 37.5%), while it remains the same compared to one month before (September 2017 – 39.5%).
Finally, 5.5% of the total Greek population declare that their financial situation is good. This share is decreased by 2.5% compared to the previous month (September 2017 – 8%) and 4.5% compared to twelve months before (October 2016 – 10%).
