Five percent (5%) of the Greek population consider themselves as living in very bad (poor) financial conditions, as data concerning January 2018 revealed. This is a slight decrease of 4,5% compared to the previous month (data from December 2017 indicated that 9,5% of Greeks consider themselves living in poor conditions). One year before -in January 2017- 8% of the Greeks states that they were living in poor conditions, which implies a significant decrease of 3%.
In addition, 4 out of 10 are those who live in bad conditions. The percentage also decreases by 5,5% and 6,5% compared to one month (data from December 2017 – 46%) and one year before (data from January 2017 – 47%) respectively.
Furthermore, 44,5% of the Greeks, assess their financial conditions as not good. There is an increase of 7 percentage points compared to the previous month (data from December 2017 – 37,5%) and of 4,5% compared to one year before (data from January 2017 – 40%).
Finally, 1 out of 10 assesses its economic conditions as “good” (9%). This is an increase of 2,5 percentage points compared to December 2017 (6,5%) and 4% compared to twelve months before (January 2017 – 5%).
