The regular monthly political barometer was conducted by PORU (fielded on 3-4 Nov 2016) and presented on SKAI tv network (http://www.skai.gr/) on Tuesday, November 7, 2016.

Some of the most important findings are:

  1. 87% of the Greek population believes that we are moving towards to the wrong direction. On contrary, 7,5% believe that we’re going towards the right one.
  2. 89% are not satisfied with the government’s performance and they believe that there are better alternatives. 4,5% declare its dissatisfaction, whether they believe that there are no better alternatives. On the other hand, 6,5% is satisfied with the government’s performance.
  3. Regarding the most likely outcome of the upcoming parliamentary elections, 64% believe that New Democracy (the current main opposition party) will be the winner of while a 12,5% shares a different opinion as believes that SYRIZA (main governmental coalition party) would.
  4. Who’s is the most capable candidate as PM? 39% believe that noone is, 37% believe that the leader of opposition Kyriakos Mitsotakis is, while 20,5% answered that the current PM Alexis Tsipras is.
